Can you get me a refund from the vendor I am attempting to cancel?

CancelWizard has often been successful in securing refunds for our clients. Refunds could be from prepaid accounts or simply as a result of the vendor not honoring your original cancellation request. Upon request from our client, CancelWizard will attempt to get you a refund of fees you paid to the vendor you are attempting to cancel. We will contact the vendor on your behalf during the cancellation process and try to arrange to have some of the fees they have charged to your account refunded.

Do I have to utilize the paid services of CancelWizard to get my account cancelled?

No, you are more than welcome to cancel your service/account/membership on your own. We even offer “Do-it-Yourself Guides” to help those individuals who wish to process their own cancellations. CancelWizard’s paid service is just an option for those individuals who no longer want to deal with the hassles of cancelling their account. It is not a requirement that you use our paid service to cancel your account, it is an option. Many people like the convenience of our no hassle cancellation service and therefore choose to utilize our paid program.

How much do you charge?

We charge a $34.95 convenience fee per cancellation we process.

I want to cancel everything, can you do that?

Once in a while someone will submit an order to cancel "everything". Although we get a good laugh when this happens, we can't cancel every account you have. Our service is meant for the abusive companies that make it hard for you to cancel. Please be sure to specify one company/membership/service you would like cancelled when submitting your order.

Is CancelWizard associated with any of the vendors for which they offer a cancellation service?

No, CancelWizard is a third party independent service provider that assists individuals in cancelling a variety of difficult to cancel accounts. We are not directly associated with any of the vendors for which we offer our cancellation service.

Once I submit my cancellation request, and pay the convenience fee, is my account cancelled immediately?

Generally, it takes a few days to a few weeks to completely cancel an account/membership/service. The time frame for completing a cancellation depends on the type of service you are cancelling. However, no cancellation will be effective immediately after submitting your cancellation request. Once your request is received, a Cancellation Specialist will contact you within 72 business hours (not including weekends and holidays), via email, to get detailed information on your cancellation. At this time, we will be able to give you a better timeframe for the completion of your cancellation request. Since we contact you via email to get the information necessary to process your cancellation, it is very important that you include your complete email address in your submission request.

What exactly are the services you provide?

We are aiming to be the one stop resource for customers who got tangled in free trial, post-transaction marketing and other rebill scams as well as other hard to cancel services. Alongside our information we also provide a cancellation service for customers who would like us to handle their cancellation. In most cases our services are a great deal, especially when you have to hunt down contact information and/or there is no clear way to attempt to cancel a service or get a refund.

What happens after I pay my convenience fee to CancelWizard?

After you submit your cancellation request and pay the convenience fee, a cancellation specialist will contact you via email, within 72 business hours (not including weekends and holidays), to obtain more detailed information on your cancellation. To expedite your cancellation, please make sure to list your current email address on your cancellation request. Once we receive your reply to our request for more information we will continue the cancellation process. When your cancellation has been processed we will send a follow up e-mail to let you know the status of your cancellation.

Why do you ask me for my personal and account information when processing a cancellation request?

Since CancelWizard is a third party independent service provider, not associated with the vendor from which you are attempting to cancel an account, we have no other way of knowing your account information. In order to secure your cancellation we need to provide the vendor to be cancelled correct account information (so they know what account to cancel) and information to verify that we are authorized to cancel your account (your personal information). Often when we contact the vendors to be cancelled they ask us for our client’s personal information, they have on file, to verify that they are speaking with an individual authorized to cancel the account. They ask for information like the last 4 or 6 digits of the client’s Social Security Number, last 4 or 6 digits of client’s Driver License number, Last 4 or 6 digits of client’s billing Bank Account, etc. (Vendors do this for your security. You would not want an unauthorized individual cancelling or accessing your account.) This is why we ask for personal information. Each vendor/location will ask for different information depending on with whom we are working. This varies for each request. To make sure we have any information they may request, we ask for a variety of information up front. If we do not have the requested information, when requested by the vendor for verification, the cancellation process may be slowed or stopped. If you are uncomfortable giving this information to CancelWizard we are happy to attempt to secure your cancellation without this personal information. Please simply let us know this after we send you a request for additional information. We will attempt to cancel your account with the information you are able to provide. Please note that failure to supply this information may result in the inability to cancel your account. We will however to a very best to cancel with the information provided.

Why does CancelWizard charge a "convenience fee" to cancel my account?

Since CancelWizard is a third party independent service provider, and not associated with any of the vendors for which we offer our cancellation service, we do require a fee to utilize our cancellation service. In order for CancelWizard to provide stellar customer service and fulfillment of your cancellation we charge a small fee. In some cases we need to send certified mail, send faxes, or collect external information and this fee helps cover our costs. CancelWizard is just like any other service provider you may hire. For example: If you needed your lawn mowed, you would hire a lawn service. So just as this lawn service would require a fee to landscape your yard; CancelWizard charges a fee to help people cancel accounts. Yes, you could upkeep your own yard but many people choose to utilize an outside service provider to perform this task. It is for this same reason that many people choose to utilize CancelWizard to help them get difficult accounts cancelled. We offer a professional cancellation service without the hassles of having to deal directly with the vendor from which you are attempting to cancel an account.

Do you cancel services for "XYZ" company?

If you do not see the company you are trying to cancel services for, you can still submit your cancellation information. If we find that we cannot process the cancellation for you, we will refund 100% of your money back.

Why are you charging my credit card every month?

Chances are you have us confused with another company. We provide the service of cancellations for a fee. But we only charge a flat fee, we do not have recurring payments. Also, we only use PayPal, the safer way to pay online.

What is your refund policy?

We give refunds, no questions asked, when your cancellation falls into either of the following scenarios: 1) We were unable to find or contact the company from which you are trying to cancel services. 2) We sent your cancellation in, but the company has continued to bill you even after 90 days of communication. 3) We sent your cancellation in, but the company to be cancelled has refused to cancel your account. We will consider refunds for other special circumstance as approved by management. We will require the reason for the refund request in this circumstance. Our priority is your satisfaction. In either of the above scenarios we give you back 100% of your money back, when a refund is approved.
