Cancel Halifax

Halifax is a credit and banking company located in the United Kingdom. Halifax offers banking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, mortgages, and loans. The credit cards offered by this company range from the Clarity Credit Card, with 12.9% APR and no usage fees, to the Student Credit Card, with 19.9 % APR. to the All in One Credit Card with 17.9% APR and no interest for 15 months.

As with most credit card companies, the cancellation policies can be obscure to consumers. Maybe you signed on for the card without reading the finely printed terms and conditions? Maybe you we’re “bought in” to signing up for the card because of an alluring sign-on gift.

Here is a post from a consumer who is frustrated and wondering why it will cost her money to cancel her Halifax credit card. Another post on ConsumerActionGroup.com shows a very upset customer with the treatment they received after noticing exorbitant and fraudulent charges on their credit card statement. Surely Halifax has had happy customers, but don’t we all seem to find ourselves in sticky situations when it comes to credit cards?
