Gym franchises are convenient and have state-of-the-art equipment that you probably won't normally have access to in an at-home gym. Gym members can also take advantage of group fitness classes, spas, pools, and extra amenities. Why wouldn’t anyone want to join a gym? The business practices and cancellation policies are so atrocious at some gym franchises in order to retain business. If a gym franchise can continue to bill you monthly after you cancel, or can charge a “termination” fee, then they retain a certain amount of profit at the expense of the consumer.
All Star Fitness is a gym franchise that was based in Oregon. As of 2013, All Star Fitness was acquired by West Seattle Athletic Club.
For membership and cancellation information defer to this website. According to the policy, "All requests for membership cancellation or changes must be submitted in written form.
