Cricket Wireless is a mobile service provider with affordable rates and is known for its lack of contracts. Additionally, it is said that Cricket does not perform credit checks upon signing up, making this service desirable for those who have a questionable credit history.

The popular online customer review site, My3Cents.com shows quite a few customer complaints against Cricket, including what some customers consider poor attempts at customer service. In fact, more than 22 Cricket customers ranked the cell phone service, and gave it one out of five stars. According to CricketWireless.com the steps you need to cancel are fairly easy. Stop paying your Cricket Wireless bill. After 60 days of non-payment, your account will automatically be cancelled. But watch out: any remaining balances will be forfeited!

called cricket 611 to cancel service. was advised by a person whose first language was not english to not pay bill for 60 days and account would be deactivated. simple. would this hurt my credit? i inquired. same answer. would it be turned over for collection? same answer. i hung up.

Called 1 800 cricket. There is no option to cancel that I can tell. Neither is there an option to talk to an operator. Have had it less than a week. I don't care about getting any money by returning the phone. I just want to get rid of cricket. Just got Consumer Cellular's doro. Love it and their live customer service is great. No contract.

The ONLY way I have found to cancel Cricket is by going personally to a CORPORATE-OWNED store. The telephone option ends up in a runaround.
