Therefore we would like to offer a simple tutorial to clear the matter up. Once you’re sure you’re finished with your Gmail account, just follow these instructions to cancel it permanently.

What You’ll Need:

• Your Gmail account name (usually your email) and password
• Access to a computer

Steps to Cancel Gmail:

1. Log in to your Gmail account with your username and password.
2. Click the “Settings” tab in the top right corner, which is marked with a gear icon.
3. In the Settings menu, scroll down to the tab marked “Settings”.
4. Click the “Accounts and Import” tab across the top.
5. In the first box labeled “Change Account Settings,” click the link labeled “Other Gmail Account Settings,” which will take you to a new page.
6. Scroll down to the very last box, with the subheading “Account Management”.
7. Click “Delete Products”.
8. This will take you to another page, where you can choose to cancel just your Gmail, or all the information associated with it. Choose the best option for you.
9. Confirm that you would like to delete the account, and remember before you click that it cannot be undone!
