The customer service representative will ask for your account and phone number to confirm your identity. You may also have to give your account password to the representative over the phone.

State your desire to cancel your cell phone service. Offer the representative the number of lines you have and other account details. If you have multiple lines or a bundled plan, you are going to want to be specific and let the rep know what lines you want canceled.

Pay the cancelation fee and remaining balance on your account. Obtain a receipt.

Your service should be canceled within 24 to 72 hours of cancelation.
