Created back in 2005 as a combination of software and web services, Windows Live was envisioned as a robust multi-tasking platform available via browser or direct download onto a personal computer. It was widely used by small businesses, online gamers and more, and included email, messaging, calendars, office managers and several other applications.
If you signed up for Windows Live and are confused about how to cancel it now, that may be due to the fact that it no longer exists. Now your Windows Live account is simply a Microsoft account, but all your login information and even the cancellation process is exactly the same, so cancelling shouldn’t be too difficult.
Note that if you wish to delete an email account from Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail, or Outlook Express, but keep your Microsoft account, the steps are different. Simply log in to your Microsoft account, go to “Tools,” then “Accounts,” then “Mail” and choose the email address you no longer want, then click “Remove” and confirm by clicking “Yes.” To delete the whole Microsoft account, follow the instructions below.
Not so difficult, right? Ideally you were able to follow the steps and complete the process in a short amount of time. If you had trouble doing so, however, or logged in after 60 days only to find your account was still active, you may need some expert help. In that case, click the “Use Our Cancellation Service” button to put CancelWizard on the job.
