Steps to Cancel:

  1. Log in to your Yahoo! account at https:// www.yahoo.com.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Help” from the page footer.
  3. Type “Cancel my Account” into the Help page search bar.
  4. Select the Help page titled “Close your Yahoo Account” from the search results.
  5. Click on the link labeled: Visit the “Terminating your Account” page.
  6. You will be prompted to verify your Yahoo! account password.
  7. The “Terminating your Account” page provides you with detailed information about all the services that will be canceled upon the termination of your Yahoo! account. Be sure to read this information to make sure you are aware of all the services that will terminate when you cancel Yahoo!.
  8. Enter the CAPTCHA code near the bottom of the page.
  9. Select the “Terminate this Account” button below the CAPTCHA code box, beneath the bolded "Yes".

Expert Tips

  • If you cancel Yahoo!, the contacts in your Yahoo! address book, and any photos you have uploaded to Flickr will be deleted. If you use either of these services, you may want to back up your contacts and photographs prior to canceling your Yahoo! account.
