Most Americans are concerned about their credit. Looming mortgages and staggering college debt have put many consumers in a situation where they need help with their credit, and they need it now. To this end, many credit-monitoring companies have begun taking advantage of people. By offering “free credit reports” based on a trial membership the credit report company, Experian is able to do just that.

Google “How to Cancel Experian” and you’ll find thousands of people looking for ways to cancel their Experian account.  Experian offers monthly credit reports and subsequently, monthly billing. Because Experian accounts are created on a “free trial” basis many consumers are charged exorbitant fees after their free trial is over.

You cannot cancel your Experian account by going to their website. According to this Yahoo! message board you should be able to visit the Experian website and cancel your membership under the “FAQs” section, but as you can see from this link, there is no such information:

http://www.experian.com/disputes/faq.html.

The most effective way to cancel your Experian membership is by calling the toll free number 1-888-829-6560. Keep in mind that customer service representatives at Experian are trained to ask you why you want to cancel. This tactic is used in order to get you to keep your membership. This process can be time consuming, exhausting and VERY frustrating. CancelWizard has experience canceling hundreds of online accounts, including Experian accounts. Have us cancel your Experian account for you, so you can get on with your day.

You guys are wonderful! I looked all over the website for a way to cancel and called the number to order one of their many tracking services but there was no way to get to a representative, just an endless loop of automation. Thanks for the correct number! I was able to cancel before the 7-day trial period (just under the wire too because you can't do it after hours or on weekends). I will definitely bookmark this site and will consider your service to cancel anything in the future that I'm having problems with.
Very happy to hear you have been satisfied with our services. We would love to help you again with any hard to cancel account you may have. Look forward to doing business with you again.

I recently discovered charges on my debit card by Experian. They have been charging me since April because of a free trial offer. Beware, don't take their bait unless you want to loose $19.95 every month. Isn't that illegal???
Support_Reply: CBJ, Cancelwizard can help you cancel any subscription they signed you up for and stop all further charges. To begin just click on the big red Cancel Online button above.

Experian charge me $31.95 plus $17.95 when I only want the $17.95 item. Which Experian took a total of $49.99. I do not trust Experian taking any more money out of my account. Please cancel my service I am going to use MYFICO to provide my credit scores. They never over charge my account.
